Construction Manager – Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Location: Corona, CA

Duration: Immediate Start – December 2026

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with direct Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project experience to oversee the construction of a utility-scale energy storage project in Corona, California. The Construction Manager will be responsible for leading daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, managing project execution, and ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements.

The successful candidate will have prior experience managing BESS construction activities and a strong understanding of energy storage systems, electrical infrastructure, commissioning readiness, and contractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day construction activities for a utility-scale BESS project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
• Monitor project schedule, progress, and key milestones.
• Conduct site walks, contractor meetings, and construction planning sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all project safety requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate installation activities including foundations, equipment placement, electrical systems, and balance-of-plant infrastructure.
• Work closely with engineering, project management, commissioning, and client teams.
• Identify and resolve field issues that could impact schedule, budget, or quality.
• Support turnover, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction management experience on utility-scale energy projects.
• Direct BESS construction experience required.
• Strong understanding of battery energy storage systems, electrical infrastructure, and construction sequencing.
• Experience managing contractors and field execution on large-scale energy projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Corona, CA.
