Job Title: Project Controller (Hybrid – 2-Year Contract)

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)

Contract Length: 2 Years (with potential for extension)


Overview:

Epcon is seeking a Project Controller to join our team in Charleston, WV on a hybrid basis. This is a 2-year contract opportunity with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will support our project management teams through the development and implementation of key project controls to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met.


About the Role:

As a Project Controller, you will provide comprehensive project controls support including project initiation, cost management, change management, progress measurement, and project closeout. You will collaborate closely with project managers and other key stakeholders to develop project plans, estimates, schedules, and risk management strategies. This role plays a critical part in the success of our projects by collecting, analyzing, and reporting project data from various departments such as engineering, procurement, construction, and accounting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Project Controls (PC) organizational structure and maintain staffing worksheets.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the overall project scope.
  • Review project estimates and provide input for mapping to the control Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Review and maintain project schedules.
  • Support change management processes and cost tracking.
  • Ensure accurate and timely progress measurement and performance reporting.
  • Implement and monitor project controls procedures and best practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.


Required Qualifications:

  • University degree or graduation from a technical college program.
  • 0 to 5 years of related experience in project controls or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
