Area Construction Manager

Location: Northern California/ Bay Area

Travel: Frequent regional travel required

Position Summary

The Area Construction Manager will oversee construction execution across multiple concurrent projects within an assigned region, including ground mount, carport, and smaller commercial installations. This role serves as the primary field leader ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, while providing consistent reporting and communication to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities across multiple active job sites within the region
• Manage relationships with subcontractors, crews, and site supervisors to ensure quality and schedule adherence
• Travel routinely between project sites to conduct inspections, address field issues, and support crews
• Track project progress, milestones, and budget performance; provide regular status reports to management
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, permitting requirements, and quality control procedures
• Coordinate material and equipment logistics across sites
• Identify and resolve schedule conflicts, resource constraints, or scope changes
• Serve as primary point of contact between field operations and project management/ownership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience, ideally including solar, carport, or commercial ground-up projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous job sites
• Strong organizational and reporting skills
• Comfortable with frequent regional travel
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination
