Location: onsite in Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX

Start & Duration: Start, ASAP, 2-3 years +


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team working on an innovative power generation project for a state-of-the-art facility. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and optimization of a combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration system, including natural gas infrastructure and energy storage solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer power generation systems
  • Develop and implement combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration solutions to maximize energy efficiency
  • Design electrical infrastructure for on-site power plant operations, including natural gas generation systems
  • Plan and integrate energy storage systems to ensure continuous power supply and load balancing
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, construction teams, and facility operations
  • Ensure all designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven design experience in electrical systems and power generation
  • High voltage electrical systems experience required
  • Knowledge of cogeneration (CHP) systems and natural gas power generation
  • Experience with energy storage technologies and integration
  • Strong understanding of critical infrastructure
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (NEC, NFPA, etc.)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with power plant design and construction
  • Knowledge of microgrid systems and distributed energy resources
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software
  • Strong project management and communication skills
