Expeditor
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday on-site)
Schedule: 7 AM – 4 PM preferred (open to 8 AM – 5 PM)
Contract Length: 1 – 2 year contract with potential to extend
About the Role
As an Expeditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely procurement, tracking, and delivery of materials and equipment for complex engineering projects. You will work closely with suppliers, project managers, and logistics teams to monitor schedules, address potential delays, and optimize shipment coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the manufacturing and assembly process for procured materials and complex engineered items.
- Obtain and monitor supplier schedules, tracking key milestones and reporting updates via the Material Status Report (MSR).
- Coordinate logistics by scheduling truck shipments and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Verify material Required On-Site (ROS) dates and compare with ready-to-ship (RTS) timelines to align with project schedules.
- Identify and address unforeseen changes impacting suppliers or business unit clients.
- Work with suppliers to develop recovery plans for delayed deliveries and facilitate multi-stakeholder resolution meetings.
- Liaise with the freight team to establish transportation plans, notify receiving personnel of expected shipments, and ensure the proper equipment is available for unloading.
- Ensure that Material Receiving Reports (MRR) are issued without overage, shortage, or damage (OS&D) discrepancies. In case of OS&D, collaborate with suppliers and receiving personnel to resolve issues.
- Utilize SAP, Power BI, and Excel to track material progress and generate reports.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- 3+ years of experience as an Expeditor
- Strong logistics and scheduling expertise, particularly in truck shipments and transportation coordination.
- Experience running meetings alongside Project Managers and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and Excel for tracking and reporting.

- Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Infrastructure.
