Coating/ NACE Inspector (Pipeline)
We are seeking an experienced and certified NACE Inspector to join our pipeline integrity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, assessments, and evaluations of pipelines and related facilities to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies regarding corrosion control and mitigation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized inspections of pipelines, stations, terminals, and other related facilities to identify and evaluate corrosion issues, coating defects, and potential integrity threats.
- Interpret and analyze data from inline inspection tools (smart pigs) and other inspection technologies to assess pipeline conditions and identify anomalies.
- Develop and implement corrosion control strategies, including cathodic protection systems, coatings, and chemical inhibitors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including NACE SP0169, ASME B31.8, and federal/state pipeline safety regulations.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, recommendations, and corrective action plans for identified deficiencies or integrity threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to address pipeline integrity concerns and implement remediation measures.
- Provide technical guidance and training to field personnel on corrosion control, inspection methods, and related topics.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and post-incident assessments related to corrosion or integrity issues.
Qualifications:
- NACE Certified Coating Inspector (CCI) or NACE Certified Pipeline Inspector (CPIL) certification is required.
- OSHA 10 is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline corrosion control, inspection, and integrity management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and data management systems for pipeline integrity management.
- Willingness to travel and work in field locations as required.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain necessary certifications or training as needed.
