Welding Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to join our team in support of pipeline and/or facility construction and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of welding inspection credentials and hands-on mechanical experience in the oil, gas, or energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and NDE welding inspections in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications (API, ASME, AWS)
• Review and interpret weld maps, isometrics, and P&IDs
• Monitor welding procedures and welder qualifications (WPS/PQR)
• Document inspection results and prepare daily reports
• Coordinate with contractors, QC teams, and project management to resolve non-conformances
• Inspect mechanical equipment, piping systems, and related components for compliance with design and safety standards
• Support hydrostatic and pressure testing activities as required

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification required; CSWIP or API 1169 a plus
• NACE/AMPP coating inspection certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of field inspection experience in pipeline, midstream, or industrial construction
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude — experience with rotating equipment, flanged connections, valves, or pressure vessels a strong plus
• Proficiency with inspection documentation and reporting
• Ability to work independently in field environments; must be able to pass client background and drug screening requirements
