About the Opportunity

Epcon is looking for local North Dakota welding inspectors to take a pre-qualification test for a gas company client in the area. Passing this test puts you in line for future welding inspection work on this client's upcoming projects.

This is a short, paid assignment. We'll cover your testing time and your mobe/de-mobe.

LOCALS ONLY: Candidates must currently live in North Dakota.

What's Covered

• Paid time for the pre-test (approx. 1 week)
• Paid mobilization and de-mobilization
• Placement in the candidate pool for upcoming client projects

What You'll Do

• Complete the client's welding inspector pre-qualification and certification testing
• Show that you know the client's welding procedures, specs, and inspection standards
• Complete any required client onboarding, safety orientation, and paperwork

Requirements

• Local to North Dakota (see above)
• Current AWS CWI certification (required)
• Pipeline welding inspection experience, preferably on natural gas transmission or distribution
• Working knowledge of API 1104 and 49 CFR 192
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and background check
• Current OQs, a plus
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• Experience working for major gas operators in the Bakken / ND region
• API 1169 certification
• Clean, up-to-date resume showing your recent project history

Passing the pre-test does not guarantee a job placement. It qualifies you to be considered for future work with this client as projects come up.
