High Voltage Superintendent – Utility-Scale BESS

Location: Texas (On-site)

Duration: 8–10 Month Contract - Start ASAP

We are hiring a High Voltage Superintendent to support field execution on a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Texas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing high-voltage scopes, including substation construction, and will be responsible for overseeing subcontractors and ensuring safe, quality-driven installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all on-site high-voltage work, including underground/overhead transmission, switchgear, and substation components.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety protocols, and QA/QC standards.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Construction Manager, field engineers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor work progress and resolve issues to keep the HV scope on schedule and within spec.
• Participate in walkdowns, inspections, and commissioning support as needed.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in utility-scale HV electrical construction.
• Experience with BESS projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of substation systems, grounding, terminations, and protection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and one-lines.
• Proven track record of managing HV subcontractors and maintaining a safe jobsite.
