Position Summary

Seeking a Mechanical Inspector to oversee construction activities at a compressor station facility (brownfield/greenfield). The Inspector will ensure mechanical construction and installation work meets client specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. Upon completion of this project, the inspector may roll over to a subsequent project location.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect mechanical construction activities at the compressor station site, including piping, equipment installation, and welding
  • Verify work complies with project specifications, applicable codes (ASME, API, etc.), and quality standards
  • Review mechanical drawings, isometrics, and specifications for compliance
  • Document daily inspection activities, non-conformances, and quality issues
  • Coordinate with construction crews, project management, and quality personnel to resolve field issues
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and site-specific safety plans


Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Mechanical Inspector on compressor station, pipeline, or midstream infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CWI, API 570/510, or equivalent)
  • Willingness to relocate to the next project site upon completion
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
