Electrical Superintendent – High Voltage / Overhead Powerline


Location: Bowling Green, OH

Project Duration: Long-term assignment, anticipated through at least late 2027

Schedule: 6 days per week, 10 hours per day (6x10s)

Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours

Per Diem: $193/day, 7 days per week


Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent with a strong background in high-voltage overhead powerline construction to support a long-term project in Bowling Green, Ohio.


The Electrical Superintendent will provide field oversight for the construction and installation of high-voltage electrical infrastructure supplying power to a large data center facility. The scope includes work on both the power generation/supply side and the client/data center side of the project.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on field leadership experience with overhead transmission or high-voltage powerline construction, including pole installation, conductor stringing, terminations/connections, and associated high-voltage electrical equipment.


Responsibilities


• Provide day-to-day field supervision and oversight of high-voltage electrical and overhead powerline construction activities.

• Oversee installation of utility poles/structures, overhead conductors, hardware, and associated electrical infrastructure.

• Coordinate and monitor conductor pulling/stringing, connections, terminations, and energization-related activities.

• Oversee work along established right-of-way (ROW) areas and ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with project requirements.

• Support electrical construction activities on both sides of the project interface, including power supply connection points and client/data center infrastructure.

• Oversee installation and coordination of high-voltage switchgear and related electrical equipment.

• Support installation and coordination of reactor equipment and associated high-voltage systems on the client side of the project.

• Coordinate electrical contractors, subcontractors, field crews, engineering personnel, and client representatives.

• Monitor construction progress, manpower, productivity, quality, and schedule.

• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and project standards.

• Identify field issues and coordinate with engineering and project leadership to resolve constructability and installation concerns.

• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, turnover, and energization activities as required.

• Maintain clear communication between the project team, contractors, client, and other stakeholders.


Qualifications


• Significant electrical construction experience with a strong focus on high-voltage overhead powerline or transmission work.

• Previous experience as an Electrical Superintendent, General Foreman, Electrical Construction Manager, or similar field leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of overhead line construction, including pole/structure installation, conductor stringing, connections, and associated high-voltage equipment.

• Experience working with high-voltage switchgear and electrical distribution/transmission infrastructure.

• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and crews in an active construction environment.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

• Strong understanding of electrical construction safety requirements and high-voltage work practices.

• Experience supporting data center, utility, power generation, industrial, or other large-scale electrical infrastructure projects is preferred.

• Must be comfortable working a 6x10 construction schedule in Bowling Green, OH.
