Utility Scale Wind – Mechanical Completion / Walkdown Manager


Our client is seeking Mechanical Completion / Walkdown Manager to support the closeout phase of two utility-scale wind projects. These individuals will be responsible for performing mechanical completion walkdowns, identifying and documenting deficiencies, tracking punch list items, and coordinating with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure systems are completed and ready for turnover.


Projects:

  • West Virginia – V117 Turbines | June 2026 – October 2026
  • Texas – V163 Turbines | August 2026 – February 2027


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical completion walkdowns across wind turbine systems and related infrastructure
  • Identify, document, and track punch list items and deficiencies
  • Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to drive issue resolution
  • Verify work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Support turnover documentation and system handover processes
  • Maintain accurate reporting and status updates throughout project completion activities


Qualifications:

  • Experience on utility-scale wind projects required
  • Previous experience with mechanical completion, commissioning, QA/QC, or construction turnover activities
  • Familiarity with Vestas turbine platforms preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and turnover documentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment


Both opportunities are contract roles supporting the final construction and turnover phases of large utility-scale wind projects.
