Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - API 1169 Certified

Position Overview: Seeking a qualified Certified Welding Inspector with API 1169 certification to ensure welding operations meet industry standards and specifications for pipeline construction and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding inspections on pipeline systems according to API 1169 standards
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications
• Monitor welding operations for compliance with project specifications
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed records
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Ensure compliance with API 1169, ASME, AWS, and relevant industry standards
• Prepare inspection reports and non-conformance documentation

Required Qualifications

Certifications:

• Current API 1169 Pipeline Inspector certification (mandatory)
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred
• Valid driver's license

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years welding inspection experience
• At least 2 years pipeline inspection experience

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW)
• Understanding of metallurgy and material properties
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of API 1104, ASME B31.4/B31.8, AWS D1.1
