Coating Inspector
Start: Mid- September
Location: Odessa
Duration: 10-12 weeks
Position Overview-
Perform advanced pipeline inspection in accordance with NACE pipeline certification expertise with enhanced coating and cathodic protection knowledge.
Technical Qualifications-
- Perform pipeline inspection in accordance with NACE pipeline certification expertise
- NACE Inspection is an intense exercise of knowledge, judgment, and stamina as projects are conducted in full range of outdoor conditions
- Turn in daily reports and progress footage to Chief Inspector daily
- Communicate unforeseen circumstances in timely manner
- Ensure timesheets are completed and submitted timely
Minimum Qualifications-
- High School diploma or GED

NACE Certified Coating Inspector (CIP Level 2) – Certified Coatings Inspector Certification

NACE Certified Cathodic Protection Technician (CP 2)
- Seven years of experience in a corrosion prevention role
- Familiar with DOT 195 and DOT 192 requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge and use of construction tools and heavy equipment
- Basic interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written)
- Safety awareness including OSHA competent person knowledge
Physical Requirements-
- Working in adverse weather conditions
- Lifting to 75 lbs
- Frequent walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, stooping, crawling, standing, digging, climbing
- Works on uneven terrain, many times with heavy vegetation
- Manual dexterity (hand/eye coordination)
- Keen eyesight, good hearing, good sense of smell
- Frequent contact with insects and animals
