Construction Quality Coordinator (CQC)
Wisconsin
Contract Position: Immediate Start - End of Year
Position Summary
The Construction Quality Coordinator works collaboratively with the Chief Inspector and project team to ensure construction projects are executed with the highest standards of safety and quality. This role provides critical oversight during the construction phase, establishing quality culture and ensuring adherence to established work processes and procedures as an integrated member of the Construction Management & Inspection (CM&I) Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control
- Implement and monitor compliance with the Quality Management Plan (QMP)
- Conduct pre-audit checks of construction records, inspector certifications, and contractor conformance
- Ensure completion and review of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) as work progresses
- Oversee quality inspection staff to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and standards
- Complete activity-based surveillance reports and weekly summary reports
Safety & Compliance Oversight
- Exercise stop work authority for unsafe conditions or acts
- Review contractor Safe Work Practices and Job Safety/Hazard Analysis
- Participate in daily safety meetings and field-level hazard assessments
- Ensure contractor implementation of quality plans and TC Energy requirements
- Monitor stakeholder and community commitment compliance
Documentation & Process Management
- Manage construction quality documentation and records
- Facilitate document turnover requirements with contractors
- Champion utilization of QA/QC processes (NCR, MOC, LL, RFI)
- Participate in incident investigations and lessons learned sessions
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation
- Recommend corrective actions for non-conformance issues
- Foster positive work environment and proactive quality culture
- Participate in quality audits and site safety walkdowns
Required Qualifications
- Experience in construction quality coordination or inspection
- Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and documentation
- Ability to work effectively with contractors and project teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Working Conditions
- Field-based position with regular site visits
- Requires participation in safety meetings and assessments
- Must be available for immediate start with contract duration through end of year
